Founded in 2002, Hub is a 15 strong, insight-led video strategy and video production agency. Based in London and formed by partners David Hunstone and Kate Paterson, originally Hub was created to answer the video requirements of Jaguar-Land Rover. From having one single client, we have grown into a multifaceted video agency – working in a variety of industries for a range of customers.

The breadth of capability we offer is made possible by our structure. At the core of our business is a senior management team who oversee; insight, creative, production, distribution and project management.

We are diverse bunch, with a number of the team having evolved their specialist areas not through traditional media routes. We see this as an advantage – we don’t all see things the same! Creative concepts are often born out of polarising opinions but this affords us a rigorous approach, considering a range of ideas and angles, before collectively arriving at an agreed strategy.

The team are supported by a network of video specialist freelancers that when required we assign for each project. This means we always have the best team for the job.

The breadth of capability we offer is made possible by our Hub structure. At the heart of our business lies a team of full-time senior managers who specialise in insight, creative, production, distribution and project management. They are supported by a team of 10 permanent staff and a network of video specialist freelancers that are bespoke for each project. This means we always have the best team for the job.

    Chief Creative Officer

    Having worked at Hub since 2007, Hub’s Chief Creative Officer, Renee Vaughan Sutherland has been responsible for some of Hub’s largest social video campaigns.  She has travelled extensively, worked in a range of industries and countries and with a degree in fine art she leads on Hub’s creative direction and client briefs.

    Executive Producer

    Katherine joined Hub in early 2016 to work as executive producer on global multi-platform concept for the Alibaba branded content TV series.  Previous roles include commissioner for the BBC as well as being the first Channel Executive for BBC3.

    Rina Cheung, having received a BA in Graphic Information Design has a been working in the music, fashion and film industries for the past fifteen years.  She joined Hub in 2012 and leads on graphic design and motion graphics.

    Series Producer

    Sara has over 20 years’ experience in the broadcast industry, working as a Commissioning Editor at the BBC before joining Shine TV as Head of Features to Executive Produce shows like Masterchef, Project Catwalk and the Biggest Loser.  Sara joined to work on the Alibaba branded content TV series, working as a producer on this global multi-platform series.

    Nick is a producer and director.  Having worked a range of films and campaigns his diversity is such that he has written and directed several comedy and drama shorts, produced content for LoveFilm and worked on Thomson Reuters, Recycling | WRAP UK and Jaguar Landrover accounts.

    Production Co-ordinator

    As Hub’s production co-ordinator, Natalie gets our crews where they need to be and our post team organised.  With a degree in Digital Filmmaking she worked at several blue-chip corporations before joining Hub – we can no longer live without her.

    Hub accountant Charlie, joined the team in 2013 qualified to AAT3 he is now working on his CIMA qualification.

    Having worked for a Legal Publisher for number of years she joined Hub as a producer in 2012.  Working within our in-house studio she produces live webinars, video broadcasts and studio shoots.

    With a range of diverse skills across all content creation and a love for organisation, Niall joined Hub firstly as an edit assistant, moving into camera operating before settling in as one of Hub’s assistant producers.

    Assistant producer, Ursie specialises in insight research and social content.  Having graduated from the London College of Fashion with a BA (Hons) in Fashion Management she worked in the marketing department for Dr. Martens before joining Hub.

    Studio manager

    James Haverson joined Hub in 2010 as a camera operator passionate about lighting and capturing beautiful imagery.  In 2013 he took on the role of running and managing our in-house studio.  Having worked on campaigns for a range of clients across the globe, he is infamous at Hub for creating satirical boy band music videos in spare time.

    Studio Operator

    Hub’s studio operator, Callum studied Media Production at De Montford University, graduating with first-class honours. Before joining Hub he worked as a technical operator in live TV work.  He is responsible for mixing of video broadcasts in our in-house studio.

    Head of Insight

    Sohail has extensive experience running insight-led video strategies. He is a customer and user experience researcher, designer, and software engineer. He is passionate about applying user-centered design process to understand people’s needs and design innovative, usable and accessible products, services and solutions.

    He also has extensive leadership and technical experience, and successful track record in developing and delivering mission-critical applications.
